1. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide when creating or using an account, including your artist or label name, email address, password in protected form, plan selection, profile information and support messages. When you prepare a release, we may also receive audio files, cover artwork, song and album details, credits, ownership information and delivery instructions. Visitors to artist launch pages may provide an email address and consent choice when requesting release updates. Artists may also provide campaign goals, target audiences, release stories, media contact details and reminder preferences when using Artist Growth Suite.
2. Payment information
Payments for plans and direct fan purchases are processed through PayPal. DEA Music Distro may receive buyer contact details, transaction and capture identifiers, payment status, amount, processing fee, refund status and related information needed to provide access, fulfill digital orders, credit artist balances and maintain transaction records. We do not intend to store your full payment-card number on our servers.
3. Technical and security information
Our systems may record information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, timestamps, login activity and security events. Launch-page analytics use a rotating one-way visitor hash to reduce duplicate view counts without displaying a visitor’s identity to artists. We use this information to operate the website, measure page performance, prevent abuse, investigate problems and protect accounts.
4. How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts, process plan access, review and administer releases, operate artist launch pages and public electronic press kits, generate artist-requested campaign materials, deliver campaign reminders, confirm requested fan subscriptions, provide support, communicate service information, improve the platform, meet legal obligations and protect DEA Music Distro, its artists and its systems.
5. How information may be shared
Information may be shared with service providers that help us operate the platform, process payments, host data, communicate with users or deliver releases. Release information may be provided to music platforms and distribution partners as needed to perform the service. A confirmed fan email may be made available to the verified artist account that controls the launch page where the fan subscribed. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a legitimate business transfer.
6. Cookies, attribution and email analytics
DEA Music Distro may use cookies or similar technology to keep users signed in, remember essential settings, recognize a returning fan, protect account activity and attribute store visits or purchases to a campaign or referral. Artist emails may use a small image and protected redirect links to record delivery-related events such as opens and clicks. These events can include timestamps and limited technical information used for reporting, security and abuse prevention. Blocking cookies or images may limit some features or analytics.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and satisfy legal requirements. We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
8. Your choices, exports and retention requests
You may request help updating account information or ask questions about information associated with your account by contacting us. Fans can decline confirmation or unsubscribe through protected links in artist emails. Artists can export fan profiles and direct-order records associated with their own account. Requests to access, correct or delete information remain subject to identity verification and records we must retain for transactions, refunds, fraud prevention, legal compliance or legitimate business purposes.
9. Artist launch pages and fan subscriptions
Launch pages may publicly display approved release information, artwork, artist profiles, track listings and verified platform links. Fan signups use email confirmation before an address is marked confirmed. Artists can export confirmed addresses associated with their own launch pages, while pending and unsubscribed addresses are excluded. Basic event totals such as page views, platform clicks, shares and QR downloads may be shown to the artist.
10. Artist Growth Suite and public press kits
Growth Suite uses release and profile information supplied through the artist account to create campaign schedules, draft social posts, biographies, pitches and press materials. Artists choose whether to publish an electronic press kit and whether a media contact email is displayed publicly. Campaign email reminders can be turned off in campaign settings. Published press kits may display release information, artwork, artist biography, track listings, verified links and any contact address the artist has chosen to show.
11. Fan Engine profiles, direct stores and referrals
When a fan confirms a subscription, visits an artist store, uses a referral link or completes a direct purchase, Fan Engine may combine the fan’s contact details with signup source, consent status, email engagement, store activity, purchases, tips, fixed-term supporter access, referral results, reward points and lifetime support totals. This helps the artist understand and serve their own audience. Artists can access only the fan information connected to their account. Marketing email is limited to confirmed subscribers, unsubscribe status is enforced, digital files are delivered through protected receipt links, and referrals or rewards may use pseudonymous codes and browser tokens.
12. Children’s privacy
DEA Music Distro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. Users must have the legal ability to agree to the service terms or use the service with appropriate parent or guardian involvement.
13. Policy updates
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest published version. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or account area.
